Megan Jae Riggs is an award-winning, freelance photojournalist, a lover of green juice, her beach cruiser, and Montana sunsets.
Her love of photography began over fifteen years ago when she purchased her first Canon AE-1 film camera.
She enjoys Polaroid, film and iPhoneography, in addition to digital and video.
She is a graduate of the University of Montana's School of Journalism, specializing in photojournalism and multimedia, video and a graduate from The Rocky Mountain School of Photography Summer Intensive program.
Her work has been published in ELLE Magazine, featured on NPR, Dazed Magazine, Getty Reportage and National Geographic's The Photo Society, among many other local and national outlets.
She loves seeing live music, sippin' lattes, and spending time with her Chihuahua Harriet & partner Silviu.
Winston, their 16 year old white Chihuahua passed on the night of the first snowfall of 2018. He's dearly missed.
She spent most of her adult life in Montana, a year in NYC/Brooklyn/Queens & is now freelancing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
She loves the healing mountains, air, and wildlife.
She grew up in Idaho, considers Missoula, Montana one of her homes, and the Tetons are starting to feel more like home, but she doesn't feel quite finished with New York either, but who ever really is?
